Some people use Swami Dayanand Saraswati, some say Rishi Dayanand Saraswati some even say Maha Rishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati. What is the correct way to address and what is the difference.Thank you very much
Dear Rajesh Ji Namaste
Maharishi, Rishi, Swami and Saraswati are honorary tittles. Rishi means a person who has gone to the depth of the mantras and found the true meaning (mantra drashta). Maharishi means greater then rishi. Swami means a person who has control over his mind and the five jyan and five karm indriyas. Saraswati wati refers to immense knowledge that he had. Any one of these can be be used. If one is talking about Dayanand in regards to self control then call him Swami Dayanand. If one is refering to his immense knowledge then call him by Saraswati. If one refers to him as the knower of the meanings of the mantras then address him as Rishi or Maharishi. If one wants to address him with all his tittles then call him as Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
I hope this will answer your question.
Thankyou
